Femina-X is an alternative, Latin band from San Antonio comprised of members Daniela Riojas (vox), Alex Scheel (guitar), Jeff Palacios (bass), Darian Thomas (violin), and Jai Roots (drums). Femina-X identifies as "New Alternative" and creates unconventional fusions with electronic beats, samples, synths, and live instruments. They draw musical influence from progressive tribal and ethnic dance, hip-hop, jungle, Caribbean, industrial, punk, and drum and bass.

Daniela's chameleon voice has the range to both coo and siren, lull and frighten, always reaching from a place of passion, imagination, and child-like playfulness. Her vision, melody, and lyrics construct the world within each song, pulling from her ability to narrate and share the deeply personal with an edge of fantasy.
Agudos Clef

Daniel de Jesús

Daniel received all of his artistic training in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia PA. He attended the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts in 1996 where he studied painting, graphics, drawing, and instrumental studies concentrating on the cello. After high school Daniel attended the University of the Arts and received a bachelors degree in fine arts concentrating on illustration in 2004.

Since his graduation, Daniel has exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions in Philadelphia PA. Instead of going to graduate school, Daniel worked at the Taller Puertorriqueño, a non profit arts organization dedicated to the enrichment of the Latino community through the arts and education. This was a place where he was able to learn hands on the business of art, and the value that arts and culture has for people of all social classes.

Daniel’s education in music was under the guidance of Curtis Graduate and Philomel cellist Vivian Barton Dozer. His work as a musician has been multifaceted; performing in orchestras, chamber ensembles, rock bands, and latin ensembles. Daniel has released 2 albums and an EP of his own original work under the moniker TivaTiva. Daniel’s music is multilayered in its influences of Pop, Classical, and Rock sensibilities. Contextually, the music translates ideas of mysticism, spirituality, and mythic fantasy. His work has often been compared to the music of Jeff Buckley, David Bowie, Bjork, and Tori Amos.
