Matthew Law

MATTHEW LAW (née Matthew Fishman-Dickerson) was borne in West Philadelphia, an area long heralded as a hotbed for artists of all mediums. From the very start, this son of two theatre aficionados was exposed to an array of musical styles - Classical to Avant Garde Jazz, Psych Rock to 70's Funk. MATTHEW LAW now draws from his vast musical knowledge and incorporates all these elements into his unique party rocking sets.

In 2013, MATTHEW LAW was voted Northeast Champion of the Red Bull 3Style Competition and ultimately placed third out of 130 competing DJs in the National battle by a celebrity panel of judges including Jazzy Jeff, A-Trak and Z Trip.

MATTHEW LAW often mans the 1's and 2's for Black Thought and Dice Raw, providing the beatscapes for these two Legendary Roots Crew MCs. He toured extensively in the US with rapper Gilbere Forte and MATTHEW LAW has also hyped the crowd with opening sets for Kendrick Lamar, De La Soul, J Cole, Slick Rick, Yelawolf and Mos Def. He's appeared at every PSK event in Philadelphia, as well as the Roots Picnic 2013.

Most recently, MATTHEW LAW was featured on MTV's Rap Fix in an extended interview with Sway and he'll soon be DJing alongside Questlove at the highly prestigious Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia.

MATTHEW LAW appeared on the Dave Chappelle Odd Ball Comedy Tour.

As a member of the Illvibe Collective, MATTHEW LAW gained international exposure as a featured DJ on the 2011 German tour for the Hip Hop Don't Stop series that's also included the likes of Pete Rock and Premiere.

Back in the Illadeph, MATTHEW LAW produces his own events called PHSH TANK and FRIENDS AND FAMILY that marries DJ culture with digital art media and draws a sold-out crowd of nearly 300 people every month. During the summer months, you can also catch him spinning for a crowd of nearly 1,500 at Philly's notorious Sundae party series.

With stamps of approval that literally go from A-Trak to Z Trip, you definitely better keep your eyes and ears open for this rising star.

"People say there's something in the water in West Philly and if that's the case, then MATTHEW LAW is swimming in it. Jazzy Jeff and I have laid the ground work, now here comes the future." - Questlove
n recent years, Jersey City, N.J. has become a growing epicenter for food, art and nightlife. As good as these are, it’s the people who make the city a mecca of culture. And Kevlove is one of them.

Influenced by impromptu jam sessions and performances with family, Kevlove, born Kevin Madrinan, sparked his musical career at his elementary school graduation back in the 90s. He also exposed himself to a variety of genres – from funk and disco to 80s and 90s pop-rock throwbacks – and quickly started mixing them with the pulsating beats of hip-hop, house and club music. Kevlove became a disciple of party-rocking stylings of
DJ AM, Jazzy Jeff, and The Rub DJs and noted their all-inclusive and turntable technical approach to music.

Kevlove eventually caught the attention of local vets in the industry and was inducted to The Elite Camp – a brigade of masterful DJs, producers, designers, and tastemakers in New York City and New Jersey. Under their wings, he refined his craft and earned top billing in with crew’s long-running no pretense dance party, More Than Enough, at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC’s Greenwich Village. He’s also spun at Miss Lily’s, Ace Hotel, The DL, Hotel Chantelle and Soho House in Manhattan; Red Rooster in Harlem; Tender Trap and Friends & Lovers in Brooklyn; Kung Fu Necktie and Morgan’s Pier in Philadelphia; and Porta Jersey City, Miss Wong’s at Talde and Lulu’s in New Jersey. He has shared the stage with Nicole Albino (Nina Sky), Dirty South Joe (Mad Decent), DJ Wonder (Sway in the Morning on Shade 45 Sirius XM) and Nick Catchdubs (Fool’s Gold). Kevlove has also made appearances on Sway in the Morning on Shade 45 and WHCR 90.3FM’s Impulse Travels as well as dropped two mixtapes – Some Feelings
and Best of 2015.

"What is most important to me in DJing or any project I undertake is to genuinely have the love for it. This foundation is imperative because everything else after falls into place - people begin to see your vision, you start connecting and building relationships, and opportunity begins to present itself." – Kevlove
