This event is 21 and over

“They are all still living. Yay!” might be the best band bio I’ve read this week. Poppy has a history in the Philly rock scene dating back nearly 25 years, and the three-song Hand In The Lion’s Mouth EP appears to be their first official release in about eighteen years. It’s pure 90s awesomeness — guitars that are big and loud, vocals that soar with confident, lyrics about self-empowerment and loving your city. Hell, they fit all five syllables of “Philadelphia” in a lyric without it sounding tremendously awkward, no easy feat by any means. The set was recorded by Brian McTear at Miner Street, the band consists of Brian Campbell, Craig Heim, and Kate Campbell, and though I was not hip to them the first time around, it’s good to have them back.

Jukebox Zeros
Jukebox Zeros from Philadelphia, PA (a.k.a. The City of Bother and Loathe) are a Loud-Fast-Rules Garage Punk Rawk 'N' Roll band that are equally Loose and Boozey, as much as they Thrash, Trash, and Power Pop with Attitude.

Since the band began in 2003, they have shared the stage with the likes of The Cramps, Mudhoney, Agent Orange, Tommy Stinson, The Dickies, The Makers, The Waldos, The Victims (NYC), Slickee Boys, Sickidz, and The Electric Six. In 2006, they represented Philadelphia on Little Steven's Underground Garage tour w/ The Zombies, The Mooney Suzuki, The Fleshtones, and The Woggles.
Jukebox Zeros signed with California's Rankoutsider Records in late 2008. Founded by Pat Todd - the legendary frontman of the Lazy Cowgirls - Rankoutsider Records is dedicated to being the purveyor of fine Roots music, Americana, Garage, Punk, and just plain ol' damn good Rock 'N' Roll. The band issued its first release for their new label in March 2009, the Rock 'N' Roll Ronin ep, followed by the City of Bother and Loathe 4-song vinyl ep / digital download released in November 2010.

The band's newest album, Count To Ten, was recorded in March 2014 with Dean Rispler (he of too many bands to list, producer to even more, and record label head honcho @ Drug Front Records) producing and Jesse Cannon engineering @ Cannon Found Soundation Studios. The album was released in October 2015 on Rankoutsider Records.
