Talk Louder!
Talk Louder! is an Indie Rock band from Reading, Pennsylvania. From the outskirts of Philadelphia, four guys in the right place at the right time, united to bring their vision forth. Conceived in late 2015, Talk Louder! has been making waves in their local town of Reading, PA with their pension for writing groovy indie guitar-pop and, on the flip-side, deep and moody indie rock songs. The band consists of (vocalist/guitarist) Anthony Pietrowski, (guitarist) Jason Keefe, (bassist) Lucas Templin, and (drummer) Ryan Wolfskill. Traveling down to their favorite nearby city of Philadelphia, the band recorded and produced their debut EP "Listen" at The Headroom studio with engineer Kyle Pulley, of Thin Lips and Shane Woods of Mo Lowda & the Humble. Released in March of 2017, "Listen" is a 4-track EP.
Talk Louder!'s debut Album, "Remember When" will be releasing on March 9th, 2019. The band recorded the album with engineer Keith Abrams, of Pine Barrons and was mastered by Ryan Schwabe.
“The flipside to sad folk, of course, is super poppy and peppy rock and roll. But the best rock is catchy only on the surface, lyrically digging into zones more distraught and dark. The four Reading, Pennsylvania dudes in Talk Louder! do a bit of that in their debut EP Listen, recorded at The Headroom with Kyle Pulley and Shane Woods. And while I wouldn’t say they go all-out dark in this set, their Strokes-y jams will have you bobbing your head and bouncing around to room as they vent about frustrations and feelings of despondency.” — John Vettese, The Key at WXPN
“ This recording (“Listen”) was done at The Headroom in Philadelphia, and it's laden with little Easter eggs for the critical listener. Delayed drum parts, volume and panning effects on guitars and vocals, and a distinct feel keep the EP cohesive. It comes in just under 15 minutes, and is well worth the $4 for the direct download on bandcamp. Talk Louder!'s music is somehow familiar and original at the same time. I know what's going to happen, but I'm excited to hear how.” --- Zack DeSantis, Sidestage: The Reading Eagle
Knightlife
Knightlife
Knightlife is an alternative rock band from Philadelphia, PA. In a 2017 write-up they were dubbed as having “a sound that comes across as mature without losing the natural grit of the genre.” In most typical environments Knightlife can be found at local dives & dank urban night-clubs. Knightlife has released two records which are available for purchase via their website, “Field Day” and “The Long Way Down.” You can follow Knightlife on their website, dubbed “the club”, at www.knightlife.club. Early in 2018 Knightlife made a live radio debut over the Philadelphia alternative rock station, Radio 104.5. The group consists of Bruce MacKnight, Rich Giduck, and various other contributors. Knightlife’s music ought to be categorized as alternative or indie rock, but it is important to remember that they will still kick your ass.
